A new strategic connection for the country
INTEGRA AES has recently signed an important agreement with Terna Rete Italia for the Work Supervision of Lot 3 – Abruzzo Station, as part of the revolutionary project “Adriatic Link”.
This pioneering intervention involves the construction of a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) submarine connection using “Voltage Source Converter (VSC)” technology between the Marche and Abruzzo regions. The Adriatic Link represents a significant advancement for the electricity system in Central Italy, enhancing energy exchange and helping to make the system safer, more flexible, and perfectly integrated with renewable sources. This project is an integral part of the National Electric Transmission Grid Development Plan and falls within the PNIEC (National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan), which aims for the decarbonization of the energy system by 2030.
With this new assignment, INTEGRA AES strengthens its collaboration with the Client and confirms its crucial role in the realization of strategic infrastructure works for the country’s future.
