STRUCTURED ENGINEERING TO COUNTER SEISMIC HAZARD
INTEGRA AES joins OICE in its message of condolence to the peoples of the areas affected by the recent seismic events and takes such a distressing occasion to underline once again the need to definitely and effectively deal with the issue of seismic vulnerability.
In particular, the question must be approached on the base of its multidisciplinarity, namely a joint management of geological/seismological, engineering, artistic-historical and financial disciplines. For that very reason, therefore, it cannot but be addressed through systems of structured engineering, that can manage a need which has now become an emergency in an effective and timely manner, especially in terms of loss of lives and of the invaluable damage to artistic-historical heritage and cultural identity of Italian Nation.
