INTEGRA AES also contributed this year, providing its data, to the 38th Annual Survey of the OICE. The publication describes the trend in the architectural and engineering sector of Italian Companies adhering to OICE. The study highlights the positive trend for engineering Companies, actually exceeding 3 billion euros in production value, with an increase of 3.5% compared to 2020. Concerning 2022, although a year characterized by various factors of instability, companies expect an acceleration in turnover growth.
The Italian market is slightly prevalent, covering 52% of the total. This result is linked to a strong rebound in the domestic market over 2021. In the forecasts for 2022, the domestic market is expected to increase again up to 55% (1.9 billion).
The survey also shows a growth of employment in the sector by 14.7% between 2020 and 2021, and an expected further expansion of 9.4% in 2022. However, almost 80% of companies report difficulties finding new staff, despite most companies intending to increase employment in the course of 2022.
