TYRRHENIAN LINK
INTEGRA AES has recently signed a new contract with Terna. The assignment concerns work supervision during the construction of the conversion station in Termini Imerese of the Tyrrhenian Link, which will connect Sicily to Sardinia (see video).
The Tyrrhenian Link is a record-breaking infrastructure that includes two submarine power lines of 1,000 MW each: one between Campania and Sicily, and the other between Sicily and Sardinia, to form a large power corridor in the center of the Mediterranean, about 970 km long. The new submarine connection will foster the development of renewable sources and will contribute to the improvement of energy transition. Terna will invest a total of around 3.7 billion euros in the project.
INTEGRA AES confirms once again its involvement in supporting the realization of strategic infrastructural works for the Country.
