The area, which houses the new sport centre in Ardea, is easily accessible with public and private transport and has a suitable orographic profile and urban contest. The pedestrian paths, cycle lanes and driveways are avenues lined with trees, behind which there are the outdoor sport camps for various disciplines (skating, bowls, volleyball, tennis, football etc.) The project of the structure, slightly underground to better integrate with the level of the soil, aimed at combining five different blocks of functions: the main swimming pool, the kids pool, the gym, the changing rooms and the entrance hall with services.
Considering the inclination of the ground, the block of the changing rooms and services was placed close to the declivity; the gym and the pools are close to the changing rooms. The entrance hall, near the gym, is the junction to all the blocks and was designed to be interlocked inside the swimming pool section and the changing rooms one, to create an external roofing and an uncovered terrace.
