A project directed by INTEGRA AES rewarded by Realtà MAPEI International magazine
In its latest issue, the magazine ‘Realtà MAPEI International’ rewards a project directed by INTEGRA AES between 2010 and 2013 as one of the winning projects of its ‘MAPEI Reference Grand Prix’. The project concerned the impressive refurbishment of the Ex Unione Militare building, at the very heart of Rome, which nowadays houses the H&M Megastore.
Commissioned by Benetton Group, the works included the complete reorganization of the building interior, while keeping unaltered — though renovated — the external facades. The final result can be appreciated by having a look at the images in the INTEGRA AES projects showcase. The key feature of the refurbishment is the ‘light-well’, a wrapping skin in steel and glass that encloses the vertical connections running through all floors. The ‘light-well’ culminates on the roof terrace as a dome shaped structure that houses a restaurant and a bar with direct view on the eternal city.
