Following its propensity to develop international partnerships, INTEGRA AES has recently joined an international design competition in partnership with two Dutch firms, namely NIO Architecten (Rotterdam) and OKRA Landschaparchitecten (Utrecht). The occasion has been the ‘Progetto Flaminio International Competition’ which focuses on the area that shall host the City of the Science, in Rome.
Situated just one kilometre from the Porta del Popolo and the historic centre of Rome, the site is surrounded by important works of architecture from the twentieth century: the Foro Italico, the Olympic Village (1960), the Parco della Musica by Renzo Piano, and the MAXXI Museum by Zaha Hadid which is located just in front of this area.

The Competition Organizer is seeking a master plan for the creation of a neighbourhood integrated within the context of contemporary Rome. The site must ensure an easy and effective usability of the City of the Science, designed for a large and heterogeneous audience, along with new public spaces and landscaping, but also serving the local community with a comfortable residential district for around two thousands people.
