The purpose of the design meets the need to design and implement a series of renovations and new works of the physical and intangible infrastructures, appropriately located in the port area, aimed at enhancing port security and improving its efficiency in line with and in compliance with the relevant regulations in force.

The project aims to equip the Port of Reggio Calabria with an advanced security system and, specifically, with a set of technological, organizational, logistical and structural elements aimed at making security controls efficient and, more generally, guaranteeing adequate and proportionate forms of mitigation against possible intentional unlawful acts, as provided for by the regulations in force, ensuring high qualitative and functional standards during the activities of:

• access control.
• monitoring the activities of people, land and naval assets.
• countering international security threats.
• processing of threat data.
