Rome - Italy

The Palace of the Holy Office in Rome, originally housing the Roman Inquisition, is the headquarters of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith since 1965. The building, under historical-monumental commitments, houses the manuscripts of the inquisitorial Court, being an inestimable documentary source. Nonetheless, despite such historical-artistic heritage and the fundamental tasks of the Congregation, the Palace was not equipped with adequate firefighting systems. Therefore, notwithstanding the difficult intervention due to the foresaid commitments, the project involved the most cutting-edge solutions.
